Poland Office Project: Upgrading Fire Safety Without Losing Acoustic Performance
In a commercial office renovation project in Poland, the goal was to upgrade the ceiling system to meet higher fire safety standards while maintaining consistent acoustic performance.
As the project progressed, the team realized that the limitation wasn’t the core material — it was the stability of the glass veil ceiling facer used in the system.
The existing office acoustic panel veil showed acceptable acoustic results, but once stricter fire requirements were introduced, issues began to appear.
Coating performance became less predictable, and batch consistency started to vary. For an Indoor acoustic facer ceiling system in a large office environment, this created unnecessary risk.

Fire Requirements Expose
Stricter fire standards revealed coating inconsistency and batch variation risks in acoustic ceiling systems.

The project team noted that the biggest improvement came from the facing material itself — once the glass veil ceiling facer became stable, everything else in the system became easier to control.
